Meet. Dr. Susan Yung
A Lifetime of Dedication to Dentistry
Dr. Yung has been part of the Drs. Yung and Jelinek Family Dentistry since 1988. While she is one of the founding partners of this practice, she is also the wife of Dr. James Jelinek and mother to Dr. Drew Jelinek.
And while she is no longer be practicing, you may still see her familiar face around the office, just in a new role.
Susan Yung, DDS
Dr. Susan Yung has been involved in dentistry for nearly half a century. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education and an RDH degree for dental hygiene.
She then spent seven years working as a dental hygienist in Ohio, Colorado, New York, and Connecticut before deciding to become a dentist. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1983.
She regularly participates in continuing education to better serve her patients and is certified in Straight Wire Orthodontic Studies. Her professional memberships include:
- Academy of General Dentistry
- American Dental Association
- Virginia Dental Association
Her hobbies include tennis and windsurfing. She also enjoys Bible study and spending time with her friends and family.
