Dr. Drew Jelinek joined the practice in April 2020 but has been around our office his entire life. He was a window washer at Yung and Jelinek D.D.S. and even worked as a dental assistant before attending dental school. Dr. Drew attended Hamilton College in New York for his undergraduate degree. He was a student-athlete all four years playing NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey. He also founded the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Chapter at his college. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Drew earned a graduate certificate in Advanced Biomedical Sciences from George Mason and Georgetown University.
Dr. Drew’s Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) was earned at the VCU School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA. During his time there, he was asked to tutor first-year dental students in multiple classes and be a teaching assistant for clinical skills of second-year students. He also was a coordinator of the Mission of Mercy projects which provide free dental care to underserved areas across Virginia.
Following dental school, Dr. Drew worked as a resident at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama where his main focus was surgical procedures and dental implants.
Dr. Drew has been described as thorough and meticulous by his patients. They appreciate the care and attention to detail he brings to his work. He refuses to treat patients with a partial effort or to settle for mediocrity for the sake of completion. Patient care is one of the things Dr. Drew enjoys most about dentistry and aims to provide the best treatment for each patient’s well-being.
