Dr. Andrew Jelinek Prioritizes Patient Satisfaction

Dr. Drew Jelinek joined the practice in April 2020. Of course as the son of Dr. James Jelinek, he has been around our office his entire life. He was a window washer at Drs. Yung & Jelinek and worked as a dental assistant before attending dental school.

Dr. Drew attended Hamilton College in New York for his undergraduate degree. He was a student-athlete all four years playing NCAA Division III men’s ice hockey. He also founded the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Chapter at his college. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Drew earned a graduate certificate in Advanced Biomedical Sciences from George Mason and Georgetown University.

Dr. Drew earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the VCU School of Dentistry in Richmond, VA. During his time there, he tutored first-year dental students in multiple classes and was a teaching assistant for clinical skills of second-year students. He also was a coordinator of the Mission of Mercy projects, which provide free dental care to underserved areas across Virginia.

Following dental school, Dr. Drew worked as a resident at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Birmingham, AL. His main focus there was surgical procedures and dental implants.

Dr. Drew is often described as thorough and meticulous by his patients. They appreciate the care and attention to detail he brings to his work. He refuses to treat patients with a partial effort or to settle for mediocrity for the sake of completion. Dr. Drew always aims to provide the best treatment for each patient’s well-being.
