I started out in dental hygiene and I really loved it, but I wanted to be able to do more so I decided to go into dentistry. I’m glad I did. I love it because I love taking care of patients, but more importantly, just knowing that I’m doing something to help them. The most rewarding part of being a dentist is people—it’s working with patients. I love my patients and the staff. The staff is awesome and teaching them and just taking care of people. Dr. Jelinek, working with him, he’s just an outstanding dentist so it’s just everything and of course, being able to work with my hands. That’s secondary to the pleasure of being a dentist. I wouldn’t do any other occupation. I don’t even consider it an occupation because it’s so much fun to come to work. I don’t even consider it work.
